How Corporate Culture Creates Political Apathy (Or: There Is No Truth)

  • Self-interest is all that matters
  • All statements of values and ethics are lies.
  • Doublethink is normative.
  • Love and affection are inappropriate
  • There is no reality
  • just get through the day.

Looking at the principles of corporate life that mills identifies has helped me realize that growing up under a repressive Communist regime is the perfect training for working in an American corporation.
